Bathing jetty

I’m building a bathing jetty; will hot-dipped galvanized nails or TDG treated fasteners cope?

If you are building a bathing jetty, especially in salt water, we recommend the use of stainless steel fittings – A4 or AISI 316, which are two different designations of the same stainless steel – because the fittings will be exposed continually to the wet. Stainless steel also withstands corrosion caused by pressure-impregnated timber. In this instance you should use pressure impregnated timber in Category NTR/M, where the M stands for “marine”.
